Mediation

In the event that parties cannot reach an agreement to resolve disputes, another option to consider is mediation. Mediation is a process where the parties hire a neutral party, a mediator, to work with the parties in a series of meetings to resolve the dispute. Often, each party is represented by an attorney in the process. The mediator also is usually an attorney.  We are available to serve as a neutral mediator in cases where parties are either represented by attorneys or choose to represent themselves.

Ms. Seabrook is a Certified Family Court Mediator in the State of South Carolina serving to assist clients in confidential decision-making processes as a neutral facilitator.  She assists parties in reaching settlements arising from separation, divorce or other family conflicts.  Issues that can be addressed in mediation include but are not limited to:

  • Parenting

  • Divorce

  • Child Support

  • Alimony

  • Visitation

  • Division of Assets

  • Allocation of Debts

  • Post-decree Custody Matters
